Opening ceremony of the fifth Zoroastrian youth global congress started from 10 am on 28th of July( 10th of Tir) synchronously to "Tirgan" festival. The ceremony was held in "Chan" centre of British Columbia University in Vancouver, Canada. In the following you can see the second part of report and pictures of this ceremony: ![]() The interactive Jashan led by Ervad Soli Dastur was the next program. ![]() This was the first Jashan being held outside Iran with the attendance of a Lady Mobadyar. ![]() And Mobadyar Parva Namiranian was warmly applauded by attendees. ![]() Of course Soli Dastur had invited the young Mobads from different countries all over the world. ![]() He introduced Jashan in his speech. ![]() There was no real Jashan held in this program but this was a comprehensive introduction of Jashan and its meanings and the philosophy behind what Mobads do in a Jashan was explained. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With Soli Dastur's speech ending, it was the turn for performance of the song "I believe" by Vista Tretheway. ![]() In the following she led the choir of Zoroastrian study class children to perform a song. ![]() But Fred Sarkari was the keynote speaker of this program. He has two best seller books about leadership and he spoke about them. ![]() Dr. Allahyar Dabestani has a speech in Farsi as the representative of Iranian attendees. He expressed his happiness because of such a splendid congress and thanked the organizers and efforts of Iranians for attending the congress. He also emphasized that in Vancouver, there is unity and cooperation between Iranian and Parsi Zoroastrians and they are helping each other in their activities. ![]() A dance performance liked by all attendees was one of the last programs of the opening ceremony. ![]() ![]() ![]() It's nice to mention that a group of Iranians had brought Tir -o-Bad bracelets to cherish Tirgan festival. ![]() Views: 497
