Opening ceremony of the fifth Zoroastrian youth global congress started from 10 am on 28^th of July( 10^th of Tir) synchronously to "Tirgan" festival. The ceremony was held in "Chan" centre of British Columbia University in Vancouver, Canada.

In the following you can see the first part of report and pictures of this ceremony with over 800 Zoroastrian youth and Zoroastrians attending from all over the world and Vancouver itself:


"Chan" centre was the location of the opening ceremony in British Columbia University.






Over 300 Zoroastrian residents of Vancouver accompanied by more than 500 Zoroastrian youth from all over the world were attending this ceremony





Young "Mobads" had prepared for an interactive Jashan before the start of the program.

Some Iranian and Parsi women were attending the hall in traditional dresses.

On Canada day, the first program was performing the Canadian National Anthem.



After that another Canadian traditional song was performed.




Homi Italia, the president of Zoroastrian Society of British Columbia was the first speaker of the program who was applauded by all the attendees warmly. He thanked the youth attendees coming from different countries, the organizers and the donators and finally he congratulated Tirgan.




Zain Mavalvala as head of  the organizers of the congress introduced the core committee members.
