On Saturday night of November 29 the 11th Festival of Student Puppet theater ended during a closing ceremony at Tehran's city theater.
Nasrin Khanjari the young Zoroastrian playwright and director could grab top award in text section in this festival. On November 29 night city theater's main hall hosted renowned artists Reza Kianian, Marzieh Borumand and Hamid Jebeli were the guests of honor for the ceremony, also attended by several other artists and scholars. "Mah Pishuni was so" play which was written and directed by Nasrin khanjari could win 4 awards for its text, music, composing puppetry and costume designing. On the other hand the young artist was selected in playing section for her play in "Antigon in Wonderland"
Miss Khanjari has a BA in architecture from Tehran University and master degree in play directing from the University of CinemaandTheater. She has been a member of Zoroastrian Students' Institute and has been cooperated with Technical office of Tehran Zoroastrian Association.
Miss Khanjari stated "I have heard the story of Mahpishuni from my grandma and I had dedicated it to her" It took her one year to write it and they could start training from Shahrivar in the House of Culture and Art with the cooperation of Tehran Zoroastrian Association. "the play members were 15 and the only financial assistance was an amount of 200$ from the Festival's secretariat" she added. Views: 232
